LOS ANGELES & HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SierraConstellation Partners, LLC (SCP), an interim management and advisory firm to middle-market companies in transition, announced today that it has hired John Farrace as a managing director in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
“We are very pleased to have John join our team,” said Larry Perkins, SCP’s founder and CEO. “His depth and breadth of experience as an operating executive, commercial lender and investor brings a differentiated point of view to bear for our clients, and will further enable us to elevate the level of counsel that we are offering both current and future clients as they confront a range of complex business challenges.”
Before joining SCP, Farrace was a Managing Director and Group Head in CIT Group’s Commercial Finance unit and was Head of Corporate Banking at OneWest Bank prior to its acquisition by CIT Group Inc. Farrace’s responsibilities included management of Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Corporate and Commercial Underwriting, and Syndications. Prior to that he was a Co-Head of Leveraged Finance for North America at Allied Irish Bank (AIB) where he helped establish AIB’s Corporate Banking business in the U.S., which included the bank’s successful middle market, ABL and gaming practices. Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Harch Capital Management, a hedge fund specializing in leveraged loans and high yield bonds and earlier in his career was Vice President in the Syndicated Finance division of Imperial Bank. Farrace holds a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
“I am thrilled to join Larry and the incredible team he has assembled here at SierraConstellation,” said Farrace. “These folks have built an incredibly dynamic, client-centric firm that provides companies across industries with unmatched advice and expertise to help them through the full gamut of risks and opportunities they are confronting in today’s quickly changing markets. I look forward to contributing to those efforts as we continue growing the firm.”
Farrace joins a growing team in SierraConstellation’s Los Angeles office following the recent additions of Boris Zikratov, a Senior Associate, and Christian Sorensen, a Director.
Prior to SCP, Zikratov was an Investment Banking Associate at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, alongside equity and debt financing across the United States, EMEA and Russia. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Zikratov worked in the Moscow office of Renaissance Capital, a global emerging markets investment bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he majored in International Economics.
Sorensen has experience in a variety of industry verticals and was previously at Sun Capital Partners, an operationally focused middle-market private equity firm with over $9 billion of capital under management. In this role, he invested in companies that were operationally challenged or experiencing an industry or business transition. Prior to Sun Capital Partners, Sorensen worked at the investment bank Imperial Capital, where he focused on restructuring, financing, and M&A transactions. He holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he graduated with Distinction.
