Conifer Health Names James Logsdon to Lead Hospital Revenue Cycle Management Business

8/13/17

FRISCO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Conifer Health Solutions today announced the appointment of James “Jim” Logsdon as president of its hospital revenue cycle management (RCM) business unit effective immediately. As president, Logsdon is responsible for driving operational efficiencies, innovation and excellence in the revenue cycle as care providers grapple with the shift from traditional payers to managed care arrangements, ongoing regulatory compliance and the impact of increased patient financial responsibility.

“We’re pleased to welcome Jim to our executive team,” said Stephen M. Mooney, president and CEO of Conifer Health. “He’s an outcomes-focused and patient-centric revenue cycle leader, and he brings decades of invaluable not-for-profit knowledge and experience. Jim also has a practical understanding of value-based care practices. As Conifer Health works with our hospital and health system clients to deliver high-quality care that is reliable, safe and affordable, Jim’s expertise is critically important.”

Before joining Conifer Health, Logsdon spent 20-plus years with Texas Health Resources — a 29-hospital nonprofit health system in North Texas — where he served in various senior leadership roles with proven success leading a highly respected revenue cycle organization. His RCM operations leadership and expertise earned the system numerous industry awards. Logsdon’s other past positions include president of Organizational Development Corp., a healthcare accounts receivable and revenue cycle consulting firm, and director of healthcare revenue cycle services at Zimmerman & Associates.

Logsdon holds master’s degrees in healthcare and business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, respectively, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Norbert College.
