Opportune LLP, a leading global energy consulting firm, today announced that Jim Allen has joined the firm as Managing Director with the Complex Financial Reporting practice.

Based in Denver, Jim will focus on technical research and documentation, SEC reporting, capital market transactions, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions and financial due diligence.

Jim previously served as CFO and Treasurer at Molycorp, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Finance at Neo Performance Materials (formerly Molycorp, Inc.), where he led financial strategies and operations. Prior to that, he was an audit partner at KPMG, where he was a trusted advisor to privately-held and publicly traded companies.
