Scot Clinton has joined Wilson Cribbs + Goren, PC as a senior attorney in its Real Estate Litigation practice. An experienced trial lawyer, Clinton will focus his practice on real property and real estate, including lien, contract and warranty issues, as well as construction and general business litigation.

Clinton began his career as an assistant attorney general in the Texas Attorney General’s Consumer Protection and Public Health Division. In this capacity, he prosecuted civil enforcement actions on behalf of the State of Texas and other government agencies. He was responsible for obtaining a jury verdict of $13.8 million in civil penalties, restitution and attorney’s fees in a 2011 consumer protection case (reduced to $12.1 million at final judgment). This was the #1 Verdict in Verdict Search’s Consumer Protection category and the #15 Verdict Overall in Texas in 2011.

Before joining the firm, Clinton had his own practice, representing plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of civil disputes in arbitration, mediation and litigation across the state and serving as lead counsel in jury trials in state and federal courts.

Clinton received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He was named a Texas Rising Star from 2014 to 2016 by Super Lawyers.
