McCarthy Employees Volunteer Efforts a 'Home Run' for Oil Belt Little League

7/4/17

Recently, McCarthy Building Companies’ CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline project team rallied together and put on their hard hats to make some much-needed repairs for the Oil Belt Little League in Corpus Christi. The Oil Belt Little League includes more than 800 children and is 100 percent supported by volunteers. The league offers children the opportunity to play t-ball, softball and baseball from ages four to 16. As a growing organization, the field was in need of repairs. So the McCarthy team put their skills to use to replace the league’s concession stand, dugout and upgrade the existing equipment shed.

Through McCarthy's "Heart Hats" community involvement program, McCarthy employees are able to help make a change in the local community. The program is dedicated to encouraging, supporting and recognizing McCarthy employees' volunteer efforts in a variety of causes to ensure real needs are being met in communities where employees work, live and play.
