HOUSTON, June 22, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Houston Wire & Cable Company  (NASDAQ:HWCC): Jacob Boyd has joined HWC as the Regional Manager for the Midwest Region.

Jacob has spent the last six years working with Southwire, most recently as Regional Sales Manager. He holds a BA and MBA from the University of West Georgia along with a second Master’s Degree from Mercer School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.

As Regional Manager with HWC, Jacob will be responsible for the Midwest territory, which includes 11 states and will be based out of the Chicago regional office. Jacob’s deep knowledge of wire and cable, relationships at electrical distribution, and HWC’s strategic inventory positioned in Chicago, are key to continue the growth of the HWC Midwest territory.
