Jaffe, the legal industry’s full-service marketing, PR and branding agency, is pleased to announce that Michelle McCormick has joined the agency as Senior Vice President, Public Relations. Michelle, who most recently served as the communications director at Bracewell LLP, is based in Houston.

“Michelle’s extensive and accomplished background in law firm public relations greatly strengthens our capabilities, particularly in energy, technology, financial and transactional legal matters,” said Vivian Hood, CEO/Owner, Public Relations at Jaffe. “Michelle will provide senior-level counsel and PR strategy to our current law firm clients while supporting our continued growth in the Midwest and nationally. We are very excited to welcome her to the Jaffe team.”

While at Bracewell, Michelle grew the firm’s communications department from the ground up, focusing on leading public relations efforts in the U.S., UK and Middle East. She also built a robust rankings program, established the firm’s social media presence, and helped developed firm-branded podcasts and an app.

Before joining Bracewell, Michelle was a senior account manager at a Houston-based public relations firm, where she provided a full range of marketing and public relations services to her clients in the nonprofit, automotive and legal sectors. She also has served as public affairs manager for the governing body for chartered accountants in British Columbia and a policy analyst for a municipal government.

Michelle’s work has been recognized by the Legal Marketing Association, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Houston Chapter, International Association of Business Communicators Houston Chapter and Recycling Council of Ontario. She formerly was a member of the board of the PRSA Houston Chapter and served as president of the organization in 2011. She received a master’s degree in public relations from the University of Houston.
