Aly Dossa Joins Chamberlain Hrdlicka as Equity Shareholder

National law firm Chamberlain Hrdlicka today announced that Aly Dossa has joined the firm as an equity shareholder in the firm’s intellectual property practice. 

At Chamberlain Hrdlicka, his practice will focus on intellectual property counseling and litigation for software, hardware, medical device, and consumer device companies.

“Aly’s extensive experience in the technology space and his strong relationships with the venture capital community will greatly enhance our intellectual property practice,” said Wayne Risoli, managing shareholder of Chamberlain Hrdlicka.  “We welcome him to the Chamberlain Hrdlicka team.”

Dossa brings more than fifteen years of experience in a wide range of technologies, including operating systems, networking, information security, big-data processing, consumer devices, storage systems, and medical devices. His intellectual property counseling includes developing and implementing global intellectual property strategies, domestic and foreign patent prosecution, domestic and foreign trademark prosecution, drafting and negotiating licenses, conducting due diligence, and enforcing intellectual property rights.

A graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, Dossa holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and in engineering chemistry. He received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) Bar Association. He was recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” in 2014 and 2015 by Texas Super Lawyers and is a frequent lecturer and writer on intellectual property issues. He is the current president of Open Houston, a voluntary not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and professional excellence.
