Industry Veteran Inducted into HAA Hall of Fame

The Houston Apartment Association (HAA) yesterday inducted Suan Tinsley into its esteemed Hall of Fame, recognizing her numerous significant contributions to the multifamily industry and the association during her career.

Tinsley is the founding partner of DayRise Residential, a full service multi-family management company headquartered in Houston with 48 communities located throughout Texas, Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina. Prior to starting DayRise (formerly Vesta Management), Tinsley worked for such industry giants as The Finger Companies, Greystar and Alliance Residential.

“After joining our industry, it didn’t take long for Suan’s career to take off,” said Darlene Guidry, a long-time HAA member. “She moved up the ladder, becoming manager, supervisor, VP and now owner of a management company. I am not sure I have ever met anyone with more energy and enthusiasm.”

Known for her community involvement, Tinsley currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Apartment Association and previously served as TAA’s Membership Committee chair. She was the 2007 President of the Houston Apartment Association, where she has served on the Board of Directors for 19 years and chaired a number of HAA committees including the Go Getter Club and the Political Action Committee.

She is a recipient of multiple, high-profile industry awards including: The Texas Apartment Association’s Presidential Award, the National Apartment Association’s Presidential Award and the Houston Apartment Association’s Owner Executive of the Year, Go-Getter of The Year, Product Service Council Appreciation Award and Supervisor of the Year.

“I have known Suan Tinsley for more than three decades and there is no one who has chaired or served on more committees or been more successful in the realization of goals for our association,” said HAA past President Eileen Subinsky. “She is unrivaled in her achievements.”
