The Texas law firm Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey PC is pleased to announce that shareholders Rick V. Anderson and Brady Ortego and associates Justin Markel and Rahila N. Sultanali have earned Board Certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
To earn Board Certification, attorneys must complete a rigorous program established by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the Supreme Court of Texas. The certification process is designed to set lawyers apart as practitioners with the highest commitment to excellence in their areas of practice.
“The process is exceptionally difficult, but to earn Board Certification is evidence of the commitment an attorney has for their practice and the legal profession. We are very proud of their accomplishment,” said Marc Markel, shareholder and founding member of the firm.
Mr. Anderson earned certification in Consumer and Commercial Law. A shareholder in the Houston office, his practice focuses on high-stakes litigation involving complex commercial litigation, business litigation and professional liability. He is a 2007 graduate of the Baylor University School of Law.
Mr. Ortego received his certification in Residential Real Estate Law. A shareholder in the firm’s Houston office, he works with residential and commercial community associations and developers and lenders on corporate and transactional matters. He is a 2003 graduate of the South Texas College of Law.
Mr. Markel earned certification in Labor and Employment Law. An associate in the Houston office, he is a 2010 graduate of the South Texas College of Law.
Ms. Sultanali earned certification in both Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law. An associate in the firm’s Sugar Land office, she is a 2010 graduate of the University of Houston Law Center.
