Anthony Laporte Elected Member of American Board of Trial Advocates

11/20/16

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hanszen Laporte founding partner Anthony Laporte has been admitted as a member to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). The ABOTA National Board of Directors elected Laporte based on his peer-reviewed proficiency as a trial lawyer and his character and commitment to the legal profession.

ABOTA was formed in 1957 to preserve the right to a civil jury trial against those that want to dismantle the system. Part of the ABOTA mission is to help educate and train trial lawyers, improve methods of procedure for the current trial court system, and create a community for trial attorneys seeking to best represent all litigants.

“I am deeply honored to become a part of ABOTA. Their efforts to evaluate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession is something I value,” Laporte said. “ABOTA’s mission of fostering the improvement and access to the jury system is one that I have committed my career to as well.”

Anthony Laporte is a board-certified and AV Preeminent-rated trial lawyer with 25 years of experience. He received his B.S., Accounting from Manhattan College and J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. As a litigator, Laporte focuses on getting his clients’ cases accurately assessed, while skillfully negotiating a path toward resolution and, when necessary, successfully trying the cases to verdict and judgment.

“I believe in juries and the jury system,” Laporte said. “While the cases I’ve worked on span from some of the world’s largest companies to individuals and families, I’m a passionate advocate for all of my clients. Everyone in our society is entitled to have their rights fairly represented and their positions credibly asserted. The courthouse doors should always remain open to all.”
