Duane W. Harris II has been named senior vice president and director of finance for the U.S. industrial & energy sector of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In this role, Mr. Harris, who is based in the Houston office, is responsible for financial reporting, corporate budget preparation and interfacing with the legal team in negotiation of subcontractor and client contracts. He also handles project cost analysis, office administration and proposal preparation. In addition, he manages the accounting and purchasing staff based in Houston.

Mr. Harris brings 40 years of experience to the position, including financial reporting, corporate budget preparation and business planning. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was vice president of finance at a reservoir engineering and oil and gas production company in Houston.

Mr. Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Houston and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering management from the University of Texas. He is a certified public accountant.
