Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest banks headquartered in Florida, has appointed Ashley Smith as Vice President, Treasury Management Officer of The Texas Regional Office, located at 750 Town and Country Blvd., Suite 200, Houston, TX 77024.

In her new position, Smith is responsible for supporting the retail, commercial, middle market and real estate business lines by providing treasury management solutions to the Bank’s clients. Her goal is to increase the treasury management revenue by cross-selling to existing clients and to prospective clients.

Bringing 13 years of banking experience to Mercantil Commercebank, Smith previously worked as Vice President, Treasury Management Sales for Amegy Bank of Texas. She also formally served as a Credit Analyst and Teller Services Manager for the same bank and she earned a bachelor’s degree in banking and financing from Sam Houston State University.
