16th Annual Parade of Stars gala celebrated exemplary achievements by Women's Business Enterprises and businesses that support them
ADDISON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Basden & Ivie, a Dallas-based business law and litigation firm, was awarded the Corporate Rising Star Award by the Women's Business Council-Southwest (WBCS) at the 16th annual Parade of Stars gala recognizing exemplary achievements by Women's Business Enterprises (WBE's) and businesses that support them. The event was held on Jan. 19 at the Omni Dallas Hotel in Downtown Dallas.
According to the WBCS, the organization supports the growth of woman-owned businesses by providing certification, training, mentoring, procurement, and networking opportunities for its members, connecting buyers and suppliers to drive business growth. Furthermore, in 2011, WBCS certified 1,014 WBE's and the overall membership of WBCS generated more than $5 billion, average revenue of $5.5 million per member.
