MISSOURI CITY, Texas -- Active Faith Inc. has raised $20,000, or one percent of a $2 million share offering, from two investors, according to an SEC filing.

The sole principal named in the filing by the Missouri City-based retailer of Christian sports apparel was Chairman Lanny Smith. Active Faith said it will pay a finder's fee of $1,000 from the proceeds.

Active Faith, co-founded by Smith and Mike Rosas, offers premium clothing and athletic apparel for the "active Christian," with the aim of spreading the love and message of God.

Smith is a former basketball player who represented the University of Houston and also captained it for three years. He is reportedly one of only three guards in the school's history to score over 1,000 points and provide over 400 assists. Smith also played the NBA development league for two years before a knee surgery ended his aspirations.
