Bryan, TX -- Messina Hof, one of the fastest growing award-winning wineries and resorts in Texas, added another winemaker, Randy Herron, to the Messina Hof family, announced co-founder Paul Bonarrigo.
Herron worked as a winemaker at Messina Hof 15 years ago before moving to California to work for E&J Gallo Winery. Working at E & J Gallo for ten years, Herron moved his way up to a senior winemaker position where he managed production and bottling of red wine varietals.
Taking his knowledge and experience to Australia, Herron began working for Casella Wines, Australia's largest family-owned winery. Casella Wines produces wines such as Yellow Tail and Mallee Point and sources its fruit from 33 of Australia's 59 premium wine-growing regions.
"With Herron's knowledge and experience at Messina Hof, in California and in the international wine industry, we welcome him back to the family and letting him work his magic on the grapes from this year's harvest," said Paul Bonarrigo.
Herron attended California State University, Fresno and received a degree in enology. He is joined in Texas by his wife Stacy and children Connor and Keira.
