Satellite Logistics Group Appoints Jeff Sommers VP of Business Development

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beverage industry international supply chain leader Satellite Logistics Group (SLG) has appointed Jeff Sommers to the position of Vice President, Business Development.
In his new role with Satellite Logistics Group, Sommers will explore new opportunities presented by the creation of the company's innovative service lines, such as EcoBev - the turnkey, sustainable solution for unsalable beverage product disposal - and Kegspediter, a reverse logistics system ensuring the fast and efficient return of empty kegs.
Sommers joins Satellite Logistics Group from Genesis Today where as chief operating officer he led the transformation of a nutritional supplement business and nearly quadrupled revenues in two years. Other notable positions he has held include chief operating officer at HAVI Group and regional vice president at Aramark Corporation. Sommers was also employed by Pepsi-Cola where he held several positions including district sales manager, national account manager, director of field integration, and area vice president sales/operations. At Procter & Gamble, he served as sales representative and unit manager.

Jeff received a B.A. in marketing from Texas Christian University (TCU) and an MBA from Northwestern University.
