Messina Hof Winery Receives 21 Awards and is the Most Award-winning Winery at the 2011 Lone Star International Wine Competition

Houston -- Messina Hof, the fastest growing award-winning winery and resort in Texas, recently announced their winning wines from the 2011 Lone Star International Wine Competition.
The Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association held the 28th Annual Lone Star International Wine Competition on June 6- 7, 2011 in historic Grapevine, TX. Wine entries included numerous varietals from more than 600 wineries in Texas, across the United States, and around the world. Medals were awarded by a panel of 26 judges, consisting of local experts from the Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston metropolitan areas.
Messina Hof wines competed in all three categories of the competition, which included the Texas Competition, International Competition, and Limited Production Competition. Messina Hof Winery and Resort triumphed as the most awarded winery in the competition, winning an award for every wine that was entered for a total of 21 awards, which included four gold, four silver, and 13 bronze medals.
"To be recognized as the most winning winery on an international level is such an honor and shows our commitment to producing only the highest quality wine. Our wines are made solely from Texas grapes and we are so pleased to have The Lone Star International Wine Competition recognize our exemplary Texas wines," said Paul Bonarrigo, co-founder of Messina Hof Winery and Resort.
